Figure 5.6. Exposure procedure: Single fish were netted from the stock tank into a basket in a transport tank containing water of the exposure temperature (blue tank in the left picture). After 30 s exposure the basket was lifted over to another transportation tank (red tank in the left picture) containing water of the acclimation temperature and transported to the acclimation tank where the basket was lifted into the tank and the fish released (central picture). Each individual was video recorded until it swam in a controlled manner in the recovery tank (right picture).
