My research is focused on ONE HEALTH approach and investigating the role of the external environment, especially the marine environment, in the emergence, transfer and selection of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Other areas of expertise are microbial ecology and evolution, microbial taxonomy, microbial genomics and proteomics. I have a total of 66 peer reviewed publications, one book chapter and 4 technical reports. Supervision of 9 master's theses, 3 PhD students, 3 postdocs.
