The Institute of Marine Research will receive 500 climate researchers from almost 70 countries in the Ocean city Bergen.

The aim of the conference Effects of Climate Change on the World's Ocean is to review the current state of the art research on the topic.

During the five days of the conference, there will be 14 keynote speakers and 19 different sessions addressing various topics in climate impact research.

HRH Crown Prince Haakon will open the conference.

The climate conference ECCWO5

The main organizers of the conference are ICES, PICES, IOC-UNESCO, FAO and the Institute of Marine Research.
The conference is the fifth in a row, and in 2023 hosted by IMR.
During the five days of the conference, there will be 14 keynote speakers and 19 different sessions addressing various topics in climate impact research.
HRH Crown Prince Haakon will open the conference.

The conference is one of the major event during One Ocean Week in Bergen.
