Curriculum Vitae

I am a research scientist in the Sustainable Development research group at the Institute of Marine Research, Norway. I have 12 years of research experience post PhD. My research integrates field data collection and modelling to tackle interdisciplinary research challenges in marine science. Since joining the Sustainable Development group in 2023, my work has centered on capacity development in marine science in the Global South.

Project management: I have managed multiple research projects, with budgets ranging from $10,000 to $5M

Academic mentorship: I have supervised 8 graduate students, mentored 11 undergraduate students. I have also directed an academic program for graduate students in Fisheries Science and Technology with 50+ enrolled MSc and PhD students.

Expert advisory: Active contributor to stock assessment and management working groups as a member, advisor or external reviewer.

Field expertise: 300+ days at sea as a cruise leader, spanning day trip on coastal fishing vessels to multiple week scientific surveys on research vessels.
