Jan Even Øie Nilsen

Curriculum Vitae
Nilsen received his Dr.Scient. degree in physical oceanography, on the hydrography and dynamics of the Atlantic Water flow through the Norwegian Sea, from the Geophysical Institute (GFI), University of Bergen (UiB), Norway, in 2003.
Software: Author of evenmat, eveneof, and m_namebox open source libraries of Matlab functions for the analysis of data, consisting of roughly 170 functions spanning 12,000 lines; available at https://github.com/evenrev1.
Has experience in scientific diving, both in connection to the above mentioned expeditions (prior to 2000), and with the Norwegian Institute for Water Research (NIVA). Operated as both dive leader and diving officer at the Geophysical Institute, UiB.
Has completed the Arctic Survival and Safety Course at UNIS.
