Interdisciplinarity perhaps best describes my research profile. Originally trained as an environmental scientist, I am now qualified as a fisheries economist, after having received a PhD in fisheries economics at the Norwegian School of Economics and related postdoctoral experience in Taiwan and Spain. I use numerical models to find out optimal harvest strategies, also work on observational data and survey experimental data. In additional to my academic experiences, I worked several years for international environmental and development NGOs in China, Cambodia and the Netherlands.

Arbeidsområde

  • Fisheries economics: Fisher targetting behaviour, fleet dynamics.
  • Applied game theory: The impact of climate-induced range shifts on the stability of cooperative fisheries agreements and risk of overexploitation.
  • Survey experiments: Public acceptance and economic valuation on environmental goods or ecosystem-system functions.
